Napoles arraigned for tax evasion at CTA

Raymundo, Philippine News Agency MANILA, June 15 –Detained businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the suspected pork barrel scam brains, did not enter a plea during her arraignment for tax evasion case before the Court of Tax Appeal (CTA) on Wednesday. Logo photo courtesy of Wikipedia   This prompted the CTA to enter a “not guilty” plea on Napoles’ behalf. The case involves the non-payment of correct taxes for years 2004, 2006, and 2008 to 2012, in the total amount of Php 18.4-million. The CTA also slapped a Php 2,000 fine to Napoles’ lawyer for being late in the arraignment.
