PH joining world’s biggest war games
The Philippines will participate in the world’s biggest maritime exercise – the United States-led and hosted Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) – scheduled June 30 to August 4 in and around the Hawaiian islands and Southern California. RIMPAC is a biennial exercise that provides for a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. RIMPAC 2016, with the theme “Capable, Adaptive Partners” will bring together military forces from 26 nations.
