Letter: Leave median open

Twice in the past two weeks, I witnessed something both eye-opening and alarming at the same time. While on Coleman Boulevard in heavy traffic, which is almost all the time now, a firetruck and an ambulance were flying down the roadway in the center turn lane, sailing by all of us in the bumper-to-bumper traffic.
