Lowcountry lighthouse to get 'great need' grant
The stairwell is rusting that leads up the leaning, weather-beaten icon of the Lowcountry coast. The glass is gone from the beacon light cupola 15 stories high. Salt air and storms tear at the Morris Island Lighthouse.
