Tips for drug personalities when the police come to visit
More than 600 people have been killed and at least 8,600 others have been jailed as the government pursues a relentless campaign against illegal drugs. Those figures understandably instill dread among persons who find themselves listed by the police either using or trafficking in illegal drugs. But their fears are unfounded, assured Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos, the Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman. “First of all, people should do away with the mentality that policemen are out to harm them,” Carlos said. “As public servants in charge of the peace and order, it is us, of all people, who want every conflict resolved in a peaceful way, with zero casualty if possible,” he added.
