“A difficult period”. Tokayev discussed the escalation of armed conflicts in the world with Erdogan

Tengrinews.kz — President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan initiated the landmark Zero Waste project within the UN framework and is conducting extensive work.
The Head of State also emphasized that this initiative aligns with the "Taza Qazaqstan" (Clean Kazakhstan) nationwide project currently being implemented in the country.

"Therefore, we actively support Ms. Emine’s significant undertaking," Tokayev said at a press conference following negotiations with the President of Türkiye.

The President of Kazakhstan also stated that he exchanged views with the Turkish leader on pressing global issues.

"In this challenging period, we expressed concern over the escalation of armed conflicts. Our discussion also addressed the weakening of international law and the declining influence of universal organizations. We reached a common conclusion on the need to strengthen the role of the UN, strictly adhere to its resolutions and charter, ensure the rule of international law, and remain committed to the principle of justice. We noted the necessity of resolving all disputes and conflicts peacefully through diplomatic negotiations. Kazakhstan and Türkiye will continue to cooperate within the framework of international organizations. We will unite our efforts to ensure global stability and security," the Head of State emphasized.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev believes that strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye is a shared goal and aspiration of both nations.

"We will expand our multifaceted cooperation, passing on our brotherhood, which has deep historical roots, to future generations. I consider this a sacred duty for both peoples. Honorable Mr. President! Dear brother and friend! I sincerely thank you and the members of your delegation for these substantive negotiations. May our unity grow stronger! May the friendship between Kazakhstan and Türkiye be eternal," the Head of State concluded.
