Kazakhstan begins accepting applications for grant competition

Tengrinews.kz — From July 13 to 20, Kazakhstan began accepting applications from applicants to participate in the competition for educational grants. Documents can be submitted both offline through university admission centers, online through virtual admission commissions, and online through the eGov.kz portal, citing the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
To participate in the competition, applicants must provide an identity document, a UNT certificate, a 3×4 photo and a secondary education certificate, or a diploma for college graduates. If available, documents confirming the right to participate in the competition under preferential categories will also be required.
The following UNT threshold scores have been set for participation in the educational grant competition and admission to paid studies:

for the fields of “Pedagogical Sciences” and “Law,” applicants must score at least 75 points;
for “Healthcare” — at least 70 points;
for admission to national universities — at least 65 points;
for other universities — at least 50 points.

Universities have the right to independently set their own threshold scores for participation in the educational grant competition and for paid studies.
Special support measures are provided during the admission campaign for applicants from rural areas and socially vulnerable groups. For example, state-established quotas apply when participating in the grant competition.
Lists of educational grant recipients will be published by August 10.
