Ushkempirov street in Almaty closed again for repairs

Tengrinews.kz — Road repairs are continuing on Ushkempirov Street in Almaty.

Traffic will be temporarily restricted on the section from Alash Street to Al-Farabi Avenue until 8:00 p.m. on August 20. The city administration noted that the reopening time may be adjusted due to weather conditions or operational needs.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised to take the temporary restrictions into account when planning their routes. Temporary road signs and directional signs will be installed to ensure safety and convenience for road users.

As a reminder, in May 2026, this street was already closed for repairs on the section from Al-Farabi Avenue to 5th Lane.

Current traffic restrictions in Almaty

From July 17 to August 30 — traffic is temporarily restricted on Bekeshev Street, from Abdildin Street to Belzhailau Street. The restriction is due to the construction of a sewer collector.

New restrictions introduced for drivers in Almaty

Earlier, we reported that Almaty had begun installing road signs restricting the movement of trucks with an axle load exceeding 8 tonnes.

The restriction will apply daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. within the area bounded by Sain Street, Al-Farabi Avenue, the Eastern Bypass Road and Ryskulov Avenue.
