Two Kazakh women died in the UAE - Ministry of Foreign Affairs is investigating the circumstances

Tengrinews.kz — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has reported the deaths of two Kazakhstani women in Sharjah. The victims' relatives are certain they were murdered.

The Foreign Ministry stated that local authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are not disclosing information in the interest of the investigation.
The Ministry emphasized that the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Dubai is providing all necessary consular and legal assistance, including help with documentation and liaising with UAE competent authorities regarding the circumstances of the deaths.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of our citizens, A. B. and Zh. B., who died in the city of Sharjah (UAE). The Ministry is in contact with the families of the deceased and is providing them with necessary assistance within its competence," the department informed us.

Tengrinews.kz correspondents contacted the relatives of the deceased. The family shared several details regarding the tragedy.
According to them, the women, born in 2006 and 2004, were in Sharjah for work. They were scheduled to return to Kazakhstan in late August or early September but stopped responding to messages a week ago.

"We searched for them everywhere, thinking they might be in migration police custody. But yesterday we were informed that two bodies were found and they belong to our sisters. They were murdered; they have stab wounds. We were also told that a suspect has been detained, and he is also from Kazakhstan," the relatives said.

It should be noted that official government agencies have not yet confirmed the information regarding the cause of death, the suspect, or his citizenship.
The relatives are currently seeking to have the bodies repatriated to organize the funerals.
Previously, A Kazakhstani citizen has died in Russia following a construction site fire. According to previously released preliminary data, he suffered burns to 70 percent of his body and passed away in the hospital on August 18.
