Traffic restrictions expected in Astana: dates announced
Tengrinews.kz — The State Security Service has addressed residents of Astana.
From October 10 to 14, traffic will be temporarily restricted on certain streets in Astana. In addition, starting October 9, military aircraft will conduct training flights in the airspace over the capital.
According to the State Security Service, the restrictions are related to preparations for and the holding of international political events. Special state and law enforcement agencies, as well as Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces, will be involved in ensuring security.
“We ask residents and visitors of the capital to show understanding regarding the security measures being taken during this important international-level event,” the State Security Service said in its statement.

Earlier, the State Security Service also warned about temporary restrictions in Astana. On October 5 and 6, traffic arrangements on several streets in the capital were changed in connection with a number of international events. During those days, Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said paid a state visit to Kazakhstan’s capital.
