Remigijus Žemaitaitis, a member of parliament and leader of the Nemuno Aušra (Dawn of the Nemunas) party, who is on trial for allegedly making anti-Semitic statements, claims that his comments did not deny the Holocaust. The defendant stated that he was simply referring to the massacres suffered not only by Jews but also by the Lithuanian people.
