HEAD OF SECURITY UNIT
Summary of position:
Head of Security Unit will be the person responsible to ensure all aspects regarding to the safety and security of football tournaments in Malaysia are regulated and properly implemented by FAM Members and other football organizers.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM with 20 years experience as police or army; or Degree in any discipline with minimum 5 years experience in security background.
- Experience in working with sports team administration or sports related agency or body is an advantage.
- Highly interested in football and possess sufficient knowledge of football environment in Malaysia.
- Ability to prioritize work and able to work under pressure, as well as co-ordinating information and resources internally and externally.
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
- Strong verbal communication, written and administration skills.
- Proficient in both English and Malay (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
- Regulate and review FAM Stadium and Security Regulations based on FIFA’s Stadium and Security Regulations, in the same time taking into consideration the condition of stadiums in Malaysia.
- Promote and ensure implementation of FAM Stadium and Security Regulations by all FAM Members and other football tournament organizers.
- Develop safety and security strategy as well as operational plans for all sanctioned football tournaments in Malaysia.
- Co-ordinate a multi-agency integrated approach involving occupationally competent stadium safety and security management staff, stewarding and guarding personnel, and public authority law enforcement personnel.
- Establish and organize seminars, courses and assessment program to ensure all personnel involved in safety and securities are well equipped with the required knowledge and skills.
- Propose yearly budget and activities for the Unit.
- Responsible to lead and motivate employees employed under the Unit.
- Advice and assist other FAM Units or Departments on safety and security aspects whenever required.
