Vermont unemployment rate falls below 3 percent

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Labor officials say Vermont's unemployment rate dropped one-tenth of one percentage point to 2.9 percent in September, the lowest in over a decade.

That compares to a national rate of 4.2 percent last month.
