ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 (UPI) -- Two mothballed U.S. Navy frigates are to receive reactivation work from VSE Corporation for their transfer to Taiwan through the Foreign Military Sales program.

Exclusive: White House to review ban on military gear for police - police leaders

By Julia Edwards WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House will revisit a 2015 ban on police forces getting riot gear, armored vehicles and other military-grade equipment from the U.S. armed forces, two police organization directors told Reuters on Thursday. Shortly after the recent shooting deaths of police officers, President Barack Obama agreed to review each banned item, the two law enforcement leaders said.

EBay's stock soar to record high on heavy volume

Shares of EBay Inc. soared 11% to a record high in active afternoon trade Thursday, in the wake of the e-commerce company's second-quarter results. Volume topped 30 million shares about two hours before the close, which was nearly triple the full-day average. EBay reported late Wednesday earnings and revenue that beat expectations and increased its stock buyback program.
