Voor zover de schaatsbond KNSB heeft kunnen nagaan, zijn er zaterdag geen grote ongelukken geweest met schaatsers. Wel waren er hier en daar waaghalzen die het open water opgingen. Net als vrijdag zakten er op verschillende plekken mensen door het ijs.
Nu het weekend is en de zon schijnt, willen veel mensen graag het ijs op. Maar volgens de schaatsbond KNSB blijft de situatie op meren, sloten en kanalen gevaarlijk. Met name vanmiddag wordt het ijs als gevolg van oplopende temperaturen steeds onveiliger.
