Thieves walk into food joints, snatch patrons’ cellphones

A gang of three cellphone thieves has targeted six people at food joints in Thane district over the last five days. One of the thieves walks into a restaurant to ask for a glass of water to drink or pretends to be waiting to place his order for a takeaway, before spiriting away the cellphone of a patron who is eating at the joint.
