So Sad: Trailer Accident Kills 12, Leaves Others Severely Injured

A fatal accident which occurred along the Agbor-Sapele road bye-pass in Edo state has left 12 people dead.

Eye witnesses said the trailer rammed into the bus and car after an apparent brake failure.

Dead bodies reportedly littered the road as motorists and sympathizers made effort to rescue trapped victims.

The accident involved a trailer, a car and a 14 seater Toyota Hiace bus marked BEN 621 YY traveling from Delta state.

Many of the victims died few minutes after they were brought out of the bus. The survivors were rushed to the Benin central hospital.

Mr Oluwasusi Familoni, the Edo sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who Confirmed the incident, said his men were still at the accident scene at press time.

In the same vein, a fatal accident reportedly claimed the lives of two persons at Ugwuonyeama on the Enugu-Onitsha road. PM News reports that the incident also left many others with various degrees of injuries.
