How the Dow Jones industrial average fared on Friday
NEW YORK — Stocks ended more or less where they started on Friday as a five-day rally ran out of steam. Investors sold banks and retailers and other consumer-focused stocks. At the close, though, the Dow Jones industrial average eked out a gain to set a fresh record, its fifth in as many days. On
