Suspect charged in bat attack
Shawn Kenneth Oard, 34, was arraigned Wednesday in Linn County Circuit Court after he was arrested Tuesday on allegations he beat his grandmother with a bat and then drove to his girlfriend's trailer to try and kill his father.
