Former England international David Beckham has boasted that his former English Premier League club Manchester United will win the 2016/2017 league season.

Leicester produced an incredible 5000/1 feat of winning the Premier League last season, but Beckham believes that Jose Mourinho’s team will win snatch the trophy in the coming season.
This season’s title race could well be the most exciting one yet. Leicester will be hoping to do the unthinkable and defend the trophy, Arsenal will be hoping to go one better and win their first title for 13 years, Tottenham will be looking to build on their title challenge from last season, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will no doubt be in the mix while Antonio Conte’s Chelsea can’t be ruled out.
But, for Beckham, it’s none of the above because the Manchester United legend predicts that his former side will be crowned champions in May.
“I am going to have to say United,” Beckham told Sky Sports when asked who will win next season’s title. “I will always be on that side of the fence.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United have placed a world record bid of £85 million (€101m) with £15m (€18m) of performance bonuses for Paul Pogba rejected. According to Sky Italia and The Guardian the fee could have risen to a total of £100m.
Juventus want a basic fee of £101m (€120), plus a further £8m (€10m) in add-ons for the French international.

According to Corriere dello Sport reports that a compromise figure of £105m (€125m) will be agreed on shortly. Pogba, 23, has won four successive Italian league titles with Juventus.
Should he join United, he would become a third high-profile recruit by new manager Jose Mourinho, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
