My dad built a great Apple Watch charging stand using a $4 pack of chewing gum — here's how to make one (AAPL)
Dave Smith/Tech Insider
A few weeks ago, I took a trip up to Maine to see my dad for his birthday weekend.
As we were hanging out near his room, he showed me how he built his very own Apple Watch charging stand using nothing more than a $3.99 pack of chewing gum, some cooking beans, and some glue.
Now, bear in mind most Apple Watch charging stands you'll find cost upwards of $20 or $30. You'll even find some that cost around $60! That's pretty crazy.
With that in mind, I told my dad this is something I wanted to share with Tech Insider readers, so he was kind enough to put together a step-by-step guide showing how he made his affordable Apple Watch charging stand — and how you can, too. My dad’s a nice guy like that.
Here’s what you’ll need: An IceBreakers Ice Cubes chewing gum container. It costs $3.99 or less.
