Police: Suspect in double slaying in critical condition
GRETNA, La. (AP) — A man accused of killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend and a police officer was in critical condition after ending an hourslong standoff by shooting himself in the chest, the sheriff of a New Orleans suburb said Friday.
