The Philips VoiceTracer DVT7500 is a new audio recorder that the company claims is specifically designed for recording music (as opposed to, say, interviews or lectures). While Philip’s other audio recorders have long been a favorite tool of lawyers in depositions and doctors reciting notes, the DVT7500 is different in a couple of ways, focusing on music recording instead.
It’s a move that puts the DVT7500 up against the industry standard Zoom H4N, which has long been a mainstay for on-the-go podcasters and at-home recording studios.
