His on-screen jodi with Dipika Kakar was loved and they eventually got married in real life too. Dipika also has her own YouTube channel and they both keep sharing about their life there. They also have a son, Ruhaan. Shoaib's Vlogs go viral the minute he posts them. Shoaib Ibrahim had auditioned for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
He spoke about his struggling period with Faisal Shaikh and revealed how his mother wanted to see him on-screen while dad wanted him to complete his engineering. To fulfill his mother's dream he started off with modelling. However, due to his height, he could not go ahead with modelling and decided to take up acting.
He said that he gave his first audition in 2007-2008 for Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. But, he was thrown out of the audition room that time. He shared that he was hurt that time but decided to go ahead and achieve his dream. It seems Shoaib was trying for Karan Mehra's role as Naitik in the show. The first season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai also starred Hina Khan in the lead role.

Talking about the recent episodes, the show currently stars Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit as the leads in the show. They play the role of Abhira and Armaan in the show and currently the TRPs of the show have been quite decent.
