Zakharova to political leadership of Armenia: one can continue verbal  games endlessly

ArmInfo.These verbal games can be endless, but it seems to me that it is completely unworthy and cheap. There are strategic interests of states, there are problems that the region, unfortunately, has not yet been able to overcome.

We need to think about security, strategic cooperation, civil infrastructure, which should be established on the basis of security and stability for the sake of future generations.

At today's briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made such a statement, responding to a request to comment on Nikol Pashinyan's statements describing  CSTO as a "bubble" union that took part in preparing the war in Karabakh, and that neither he nor any of its officials will come to Belarus while Alexander Lukashenko is in charge. 

At today's briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made such a statement, responding to Nikol Pashinyan's statements about the CSTO,  which the latter described as a "bubble" union that participated in the preparation of the war in Karabakh, and that neither he nor any of his officials will visit Belarus as long as Alexander Lukashenko is president.

Zakharova noted in this regard that Armenian political scientists can comment on this statement and public figures: "This is a person who is the flesh and blood of a certain political establishment and I leave the comment to their discretion." 

At the same time, Zakharova noted that she drew attention to the statement regarding the CSTO, that Armenia must and will definitely leave the Organization. "I just remember that not long ago, current Armenian politicians said that the CSTO left Armenia. I just want to clarify, has the CSTO already returned to Armenia so that it can leave?," Zakharova joked. She preferred to call things by their proper names:  everything should be done so that "this region is advanced, so that it develops, and not so that entrenched problems like fetters, like stones, drag it to the bottom." "That is why we need to overcome the existing problems in the region, work on bringing stability, so that the region does not remain on the sidelines of global development. Now everyone is talking about multipolarity. For some, the South Caucasus can and should become one of the centers of this polycentric world. Everything is there for this. Common borders, coexistence for centuries, natural resources and people who are famous for their hard work and talent. We need to work on this component, and not endlessly come up with some very similar Western memes and thrown in from the West. There is no need to get confused in this, but simply follow the obvious path of overcoming existing problems by political and diplomatic means for the sake of the future of one's own people, future generations. If  there is something to say, let them state it directly and openly,  said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. As she noted "it has been said a million times>, the CSTO is an organization that all members join voluntarily". "There is no command-and-control system of pressure on member countries, there is a mutually respectful dialogue, no one holds anyone by force. What is the problem? Why have political leadership of the same Armenia been speculating on this topic for so many years? There is the concept of pre-election rhetoric, and there is the concept of implementing pre- election promises. Let them somehow figure it out, why deceive their own people?," asked Zakharova.  "Moreover, I want to note that no other CSTO member raises these issues with Armenia. This is endless fuss, a play on words, w which we hear from a number of representatives of the current political elite of Armenia. No one calls on them to develop this topic. They do it themselves. And why? To deceive their own people? To endlessly come up with excuses, answers to questions asked by their own population? And they do so because they cannot tell people the truth. They cannot explain why certain strategic miscalculations and mistakes were made, why certain national interests were lost. Therefore, someone must be found to blame. Well, it is definitely not the CSTO,"  said Zakharova.
