Construction cost of your dream house goes up by 1%

The construction cost of your dream house has got jacked up by 1%. Following a Central legislation to levy tax equivalent to 1% of total cost on all kinds of construction works where labourers are involved, both UP Housing and Development Board (UPHDB) and Lucknow Development Authority have started imposing the ‘labour’ cess on their allottees.
