112 Armenian museums to join Museum Night event

112 museums of Armenia are joining the Museum Night, which this year is being held under the slogan “Museums and Cultural Landscapes”. 

The event is part of the International Museums’ Day which has been celebrated since 1977, uniting over 30,000 museums from across the globe.

Launched in 2005 under the sponsorship of the International Council of Museums, the initiative aims to raise museums’ role in societies’ socio-cultural life and promote museum items' cultural value.

With the diversity of their special programs, the museums will open their doors to the visitors, allowing them to yet another time take a look back at the Armenian nations’ millennia-old history and cultural heritage. The museums have arranged unique cultural events to make the time interesting and unforgettable for guests.

The event is an attempt to revalue cultural heritage and combine various trends of art in a museum setting.
