Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola has urged the striker to take revenge on incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

In February 2016, “Ibra” hinted at a Premier League switch with Manchester United pointed as a possible destination: “Yes, there is interest. I can confirm that but we have to see where it leads.”

And now Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closer than ever to joining a new club after sources revealed he has agreed a one-year contract with Manchester United.

The PSG striker has been extremely open about his feelings for Pep Guardiola.

In his interview with CNN Ibrahimovic said:  “Whatever happened, as a coach he was fantastic. As a person, I have no comments about that. That is something else. He is not a man. There’s nothing more to say.”

And Raiola disclosed: “I think he wants revenge on Guardiola, although he does not live for it because you shouldn’t have two graves – one for him and one for the enemy. It seems destiny wants to see that meeting take place. One option is to go to the Premier League but for as long as Sweden continue in the Euros there will be no solution.”

The agent stressed: “You learn more from defeats than you do from victories and Zlatan learned a lot from what happened with Guardiola.”
