Trump reportedly seeks $10 million in damages after fired staffer allegedly violates nondisclosure agreement

Donald Trump is seeking $10 million from a former campaign aide after alleging that he breached his confidentiality agreement, The Associated Press reports. Former adviser Sam Nunberg is accused of leaking confidential information to reporters, according to court records that revealed Trump is seeking damages.

Politico describes Nunberg as a former political adviser who was fired from Trump's campaign last summer over racist Facebook posts. Nunberg had said he didn't remember writing the posts, and later revoked his support of Trump. "When did I decide that I could no longer support Trump? Last fall, when he did not have any idea of what the nuclear triad is in a debate. I was concerned but I figured that he would bulk up on policy," Nunberg said in March. "He has not. I do not see a candidate who takes these issues seriously."

AP writes: "In a court filing obtained by The Associated Press, Nunberg accuses Trump of trying to silence him 'in a misguided attempt to cover up media coverage of an apparent affair' between senior campaign staffers. The document cited a New York Post story about a public quarrel between the staffers published last month."
