Pastor ‘heals’ church members using insecticides, people react

Controversial prophet receives backlash after pictures of him spraying church members with pesticide went viral.

Prophet Lethebo Rabalago of the Mount Zion General Assembly in Limpopo Province, South Africa, has come under fire for his method of administering ‘healing’ to his church members.

Pictures shared on the church’s Facebook page showed different stages of what appears to be a healing and deliverance session, but what shocked people was the fact that the prophet chose to use cans of a popular brand of insecticide known as DOOM, as his ‘healing tool’.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all with snakes, nudity, petrol, grass another pastor accepts the ‘ridiculous’ challenge & now: Doom. Wow

I find this very disturbing. A pastor from the MZGA congregation is spraying people with Doom insect repelant to heal them. pic.twitter.com/NEgJyE2AMj

As life becomes harder, people lose confidence in themselves, they become vulnerable and gullible. They stop thinking for themselves. #DOOM pic.twitter.com/i1ypzMqTfy

Believing a can of Doom can heal is just as ridiculous as believing a whale swallowed a man and spat him out 3 days later.

Doom??? What’s next?? ????????????
Next we’ll be eating each other I SWEAR.

It’s OMG Wtf when pastors are spraying people with doom but it’s “that’s just how it is” when the same pastors are spewing homophobic bile.

Nothing humouress about the ‘Doom’ debacle. What I see is people in desperate need of hope being dehumanized in the name of God. Tragic
