According to the Chairman of the Economic Committee, Roman Kakulia, the separation of the Financial Supervisory Service from the National Bank "probably was not right."
Financial supervision function again returns to the National Bank. Finance Minister Dmitry Kumsishvili, said that the government believes that the bank should have thsi function and a constitutional court decision is no longer needed.
Roman Kakulia does not know what the motive was in 2015. In his view, "if it was a political decision, the people who made this decision should be asked ."
"I said that it probably was not the right decision, but we have to look for the disadvantages in the economic development trends in some other sections," - said Roman Kakulia.
According to him, this issue is still being discussed in parliament. In his view, the present decision is correct.
