Maybe this isn't a surprise to those who have been keeping a close ear to the ground on the ever-spinning web of rumors surrounding the Marvel/Sony Spider-Man team up, but the reboot (or whatever they'll spin it as) now has a guiding force and it's one that should surely make fans happy.
Latino Review reports that Drew Goddard has been tasked to write and direct the tentatively titled "The Spectacular Spider-Man" (keep those adjectives coming!). And they have some interesting details about what the broad strokes of the solo movie will entail (**spoiler alerts ahead folks**). Thankfully, this new movie will ditch telling audiences the origin story for a third time, and thank god for that. Instead, the the plot revolves around Spider-Man "auditioning" to join the Avengers, which makes sense considering rumors that suggest he plays a significant part in "The Avengers: Infinity War."
