Conviction upheld in 2006 murder of Abbotsford teen Chelsea Acorn
The B.C. Court of Appeal has upheld the conviction of a man found guilty in the murder of Abbotsford teen Chelsea Acorn. In January 2013, B.C. Supreme Court Justice William Grist convicted Jesse West of the April 2006 first-degree murder of the 14-year-old girl. West received the mandatory life sentence with no parole eligibility for 25 years.
