The newly elected Adama Barrow announced via Twitter that after hours of talks Yahya Jammeh will step down and leave Gambia in exile, according to BBC News. West African nations have been moving troops into Gambia to threaten Jammeh to leave the office either by his own decision or by force.The legitimacy of Barrow winning the election has been recognized international as he was sworn in at the Gambian embassy in Senegal on Thursday while Jammeh was given an ultimatum to leave or be forced out by the UN-backed troops on Friday.
