Raspberry Pi 3 -- 10x fast, wireless, BT4LE, 64-bit, still only $35: IoT FTW!
Raspberry Pi has a new baby, and it’s fabulous, isn’t it? The Welsh-built Pi 3 has a 64-bit chip, with Wi-Fi, and improved video, yet it works the same as older models, and the Foundation’s kept the price at a mere $35 -- hanghredadwy (as they say in Wales).
It’s “up to” 50% faster than the previous Pi 2, and about 10x faster than the 2012 original board. The team seems especially proud of their new offspring, born as it is on the fourth anniversary of the initial Pi release date. But they’re less proud of Britain’s politicians and their lack of support.
