Apple iOS download fixes old, bricked iPhone & iPad. But with worse security?

iOS 9.3 has a really nasty bug, which isn't such a surprise -- something similar happens almost every time. Many users of older iDevices whined that their iPhone or iPad was now an expensive brick, so Apple has had to rush to fix the update.

However, the hurried patch seems to actually lessen security. That's a big concern -- and frankly it's ironic, given Apple's security PR of late.

Yes, here's the fix for the "Cannot activate because the activation server is temporarily not available" bug. But there are more problems waiting to be fixed, we hear. And that's no surprise.
