Yen rises across the board on Brexit worries | Reuters

NEW YORK The safe-haven yen firmed broadly on Monday, hitting a three-year peak against the euro and sterling and a six-week high versus the dollar on concerns Britain could vote to leave the European Union in a referendum two weeks from now. The dollar, meanwhile, struggled across the board due to uncertainty about the outcome of this week's Federal Open Market Committee policy meeting.

Egyptian investigators say EgyptAir black boxes to stop emitting signals June 24 | Reuters

CAIRO The flight data recorders from an EgyptAir jet that crashed in the Mediterranean last month are expected to stop emitting signals on June 24, and search boats are working against the clock to retrieve them, Egyptian investigators said on Monday. Without the "black boxes", investigators say there is not enough information to explain why flight MS804 crashed on May 19, killing all 66 people on board.

Gold hits four-week high as Brexit vote shakes stocks | Reuters

NEW YORK/LONDON Gold rose for the fourth straight session and hit its highest since mid-May on Monday, driven by rising investor risk aversion before central bank meetings this week and Britain's June 23 vote on whether to leave the European Union. The pound GBP= fell to a two-month low against the dollar, pushing gold denominated in sterling XAUGBP=R to its highest in nearly three years at 909.83 pounds an ounce, up 1.9 percent.
