European Union 'absolutely' rejects Zuckerberg's censorship claim

The EU has rejected claims by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg that it is engaged with censorship. This follows Tuesday's shock announcement that the company would no longer use independent fact checkers in the US. The social media platform said its decision was to promote free speech as there was too much content being censored, even accidentally. Meta is studying how this decision will fare under EU law. Israeli hostage found dead in Gaza, military says

Israeli forces have recovered the body of a hostage held in Gaza, the military said Wednesday, adding that it was identifying additional remains that could belong to another captive. Deadly wildfires rage unchecked across Los Angeles, 100,000 ordered to evacuate
