France’s parliament to vote on new Assembly president: What's at stake?

France’s new National Assembly is set to meet for the first time Thursday (July 18) following snap legislative elections which failed to create a majority and split the lower house into three political blocs. Parliamentarians must elect their new president, a role that has taken on increasing importance. FRANCE 24's Clovis Casali tells us more.
