Deadly flash floods in Moroccan coastal town of Safi after heavy rainfall
Flash-flooding caused by sudden rain storms killed at least 21 people in the Moroccan coastal town of Safi on Sunday, local authorities said, doubling an earlier toll. The downpour in Safi province, around 300 kilometres (186 miles) south of the capital Rabat, caused fierce flooding that damaged around 70 houses and shops in the town, said officials.
