According to a new report from a prominent leaker, this fall’s iPhone 18 will feature a significantly brighter screen than any previous iPhone model.

MacRumors claims that the Weibo account known in English as Instant Digital says Apple’s screen brightness requirements for late 2026 are dramatically higher than in 2025. The increase is so steep, the leaker writes, that one supplier will have to drop out of the project.

In the latest beta of Google Chrome for iOS, the browser is finally able to import your Safari browsing data for easy switching. As spotted by The Mac Observer, the feature is in version 145 of the beta and involves importing a file created through Safari.

Apple has escaped a French ban on its App Tracking Transparency feature, at least for now, after a Paris court ruled in its favor this week.

The feature, marketed as a privacy benefit for users, requires iOS apps to ask for permission before tracking them across other apps and websites.
