Apple announces 4-inch iPhone SE; starts at $399

As expected, Apple today introduced a new 4-inch iPhone for the first time in over two and a half years. Called the iPhone SE, Apple’s new 4-inch smartphone will give users who have been pining for an advanced device in a more compact form factor a whole a lot to get excited about. And with approximately 1/3 of iPhone users still using an iPhone 5s or previous model, it stands to reason that the iPhone SE will provide a strong impetus to upgrade.

But for now, we’ll focus on the value proposition the iPhone SE brings to the table, and suffice it to say, there’s a lot to like. For starters, the iPhone SE is a speedy device, packing Apple’s state of the art 64 bit A9 processor under the hood with an embedded M9 motion coprocessor. As a result, the iPhone SE will allow users to take advantage of the always helpful “Hey Siri” feature.
