The walls between PCs and consoles keep crumbling down. Microsoft’s spearheading the charge with its stellar Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, which lets you buy a single copy of select Xbox One games and play it on Windows 10 PCs as well, complete with cross-platform cloud saves and multiplayer. But if Xbox head (Xboss?) Phil Spencer has his way, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

There’s nothing like a good keyboard deal as the week moves into full swing. Amazon and Aukey are offering some deals on the latter’s products today. Of the bunch, our top pick is Aukey’s KM-G6 for $35 (use code RSKGHPRI at checkout). This is a 104-key mechanical keyboard with Outemu Blue switches and six-color backlighting.

The good news: Bungie’s Destiny 2 is coming to PCs. The bad news: PC gamers will need to wait a bit longer to play it. While the Xbox One and PlayStation versions launch on September 6, the PC version won’t hit the streets until October 26, Activision confirmed at E3 2017.

Google wants you to find the best apps faster, so it's introduced a new section to the Play Store called Android Excellence. The banner on the Editor’s Choice page will spotlight apps and games that “deliver incredible user experiences on Android, use many of our best practices, and have great design, technical performance, localization, and device optimization.”

Our first, most striking impression of the Xbox One X: Damn this thing is tiny.

With their rainbow of hues and myriad party tricks, color-tunable LEDs get all the press in the world of smart lighting. It's fun stuff, but the reality is that most of us will rarely find much of a need to turn all the lights in the house blue or red—unless it’s time to celebrate our team winning the World Series. Even then, you’ll probably want to turn them all back to white after the celebration. And with our review of the Stack BR30 Downlight Starter Kit review, we discovered there are varying... Touting onboard Thread radios, Eero’s CEO says this is the beginning of a new smart home platform.

These white LED bulbs can automatically adjust their color temperature based on the time.

No matter the version number, we love stock Android. It’s the main reason why the Pixel is still one of the best phones you can buy, and if we had our way, we would have already installed the freshest version of Nougat on our two favorite handsets of the year, the Galaxy S8 and LG G6.

The times sure are a-changing. E3’s always been known as a console-centric gaming show, and it definitely still is on the surface. Given the infiltration of AMD’s APUs into the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and the resurgence of PC gaming, plus Microsoft’s ambitious Xbox Play Anywhere program, most of the blockbuster games announced for consoles at E3 actually wind up coming to PCs, too.

Buyers will need to choose between wired and wire-free models, along with a host of accessories.

Microsoft's new Surface Pro (2017) Windows tablet packs the power of Intel's new Kaby Lake chip inside, offering a powerful, pricey upgrade to the Surface Pro 4.

Sony knows spectacle, that’s for sure. Where EA and Ubisoft’s E3 press conferences always feel pretty safe and reserved, and Microsoft and Bethesda feel bombastic, Sony once again proved Monday night that it’s the best at balancing over-the-top artistry with a laser-focus on the games themselves.

Clarification: We've clarified our initial story, which overstated Alienware's exclusive access. Smaller boutique OEMs will indeed be able to build Threadripper-based PCs at launch.

You know, it’s surprising Alienware doesn’t already have a lengthy lineup of peripherals. Sure, there are other companies that only make boutique PCs—Origin, Falcon Northwest—but they seem content being known for their niche. Alienware’s always had such a distinctive aesthetic, and aimed at mainstream appeal.

It seemed like a press conference of zero surprises as we rolled through Ubisoft’s E3 2017 spectacular. Which is not to say there were no games—just that almost all the games on offer were announced beforehand, either officially or unofficially (read: leaked). Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole. That being said, we did get extended looks at all the above—some, like The Crew 2, for the first time ever.
