The 57th International Art Exhibition - Venice Biennale, titled Viva Arte Viva, opened for public on May 13. It features 86 national participations, including from Russia.

A school where subjects will be taught both in Russian and in English will open in Manhattan the next school year, the President of the Russian American Cultural Heritage Center Olga Zatsepina told TASS on May 12.

The ongoing renovation of buildings in Russia’s capital has brought many historic objects back to the public eye. One of the latest discoveries was made by archaeologists on May 10 when 10 silver coins were found inside an ivory chess bishop dating back to the 16th century. At that time the owner of these coins could have bought a flock of geese. Now the coins are most likely to end up in one of Moscow’s historical museums.

Russia’s emergencies ministry said on Friday it has repelled several virus attacks on its computers.
