They become almost invisible thanks to the lush greenery of the trees and gardens, and the silence is broken only by the occasional barking of dogs. In summer, local residents come to the village to start a season at the dacha, and on special days, the indigenous Seto people come from Estonia to bow to the graves of their ancestors and visit their old parents' homes.

'Women's Viagra' wins startup competition in Russia

Thanks to its "Women's Viagra" drug, the Russian Ivix company has won first prize at the annual StartUp Village Conference, which took place from June 6 to 7 at the Skolkovo technopark (18 km west of Moscow). Ivix was subsequently awarded five million rubles (almost $90,000). The Startup Village has been held in Skolkovo since 2012. Ancient Animals Park opens in Russian North

A park with full-size sculptures of ancient animals opened on June 10 in Kotlas, the Arkhangelsk region, TASS reports. Right at that place, in the late 19th century, a geologist and paleontologist Vladimir Amalitsky discovered a huge burial place of animals, which lived during the Permian period - it was the first discovery of this kind in Russia.
