Today dozens of our colleagues – Russian diplomats – are leaving the United States of America. They are not U.S. enemies.
The U.S. authorities have expelled American friends. Our diplomats were developing cooperation between Russia and the United States in different areas, among which are business, science, culture, space exploration and joint search for prisoners of war and missing in action.
This choice is unfortunate.

We have taken note of the statements by the representatives of the U.S. Administration with regard to the Address by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. They said that Russia is allegedly violating its international arms control obligations and is developing “destabilizing weapons”. As the U.S. Department of State spokeswoman Heather Nauert further elaborated, they were referring to Russia violating the INF Treaty.

Both Russia and Syria aim to resolve the situation in Eastern Ghouta and undertake specific steps to achieve this goal. Together with the Syrian Government, in the unilateral manner we have announced daily five-hour humanitarian pauses with the establishment of humanitarian corridors. These corridors are designed for aid delivery and medical evacuation in full compliance with item 10 of the UNSC resolution 2401.
