Due to negotiations with "SOCAR" government may refuse to accept "Gazprom`s" offer

As a result of negotiations with Socar, Georgia may refuse Gazprom`s offer. The information is spread by the Azerbaijani site basing on an exclusive interview with Deputy Minister of Energy Mariam Valishvili . As Valishvili said Baku is offering Georgia at a competitive price , the price offered by Gazprom is unacceptable for Georgian side at the moment .

Mariam Valishvili does not give explanations to the Georgian media.

The head of the Parliamentary Committee of Sector Economy, Zurab Tkemaladze said that Georgia has the obligation of the negotiations with Russia and Iran from the Association Agreement. The opposition claims that finding such a record in the association agreement document is impossible.

The minority demand from the Minister of Energy to publicize contract documents.

Reportedly the talks with SOCAR and Gazprom are carried out daily by telephone. At this stage it is unknown whether the agreements will be signed.
