Erik Prince, Formerly of Blackwater: New Company FSG Now in Iraq?

On August 7th, 2018, FSG (East Africa) Security Services Co., Ltd provided Personal Security Detail (PSD) Service for Avic-Intl Project Engineering Company (Kenya).

Erik Prince, Former Navy SEAL and founder of Blackwater is back in Iraq, with the Dubai subsidiary of his FSG company. He is Working out of Basra, for China according to a Buzzfeed scoop. 

Frontier Services Group (“FSG”) announced on April 2, 2019 on it’s official website, the launch of Infrastructure business, the fourth main business segment of the Group, after Security, Logistics and Insurance.

The company, based in Hong Kong, is already involved in close protection, aviation security, IT protection and other security and training services worldwide.

“FSG will provide critical infrastructure project solutions, from project planning, business consulting, investment and financing to engineering design, implementation and operations, helping clients to manage their entire project value chains. FSG’s Infrastructure business will focus on transportation corridors, energy and logistics networks as well as social housing projects in Africa and South East Asia, echoing China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative. The Group intends to take part in these projects through equity investment.

One of the problematic areas in which FSG operates is Kenya according to its website.

FSG (East Africa) Security Services Co., Ltd conducted a project in Mandera, the Northeastern Kenya, next to the Kenya-Somalia border. This area is categorized as a high risk area due to frequent attacks by insurgents of Al-Shabab, a Somalian extremist group. FSG East Africa co., LTD. deployed professional personal security details and local resources for the escort. The Commander of the PSD, with over 30-year experience in security service, cooperating with local armed police who have reliable background and excellent capability, completed this close protection mission successfully.

And then it is heavily involved in the belt and road project with the recent activity in Cambodia.

Frontier Service Group (FSG) has been promoting its registration in countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”. In early December 2018, FSG obtained the Cambodian security business license, which is another milestone for the Group’s overseas business development.

It’s China connection is high profile.  December the company announced That Mr. Chang Zhenming, Chairman of CITIC Group, was appointed as Chairman of the Board of FSG.

Invited by Shaanxi Automobile Group (SAG), Lv Chaohai, the general manager of Northwest business segment of Frontier Service Group (FSG), led the technical team to give a one-day security training to some employees of SAG’s overseas business department on December 18, 2018.
