Repeat offender shoots Bastrop County Sheriff’s Deputy Sawyer Wilson

Governor Abbott today issued a statement after Bastrop County Sheriff’s Deputy Sawyer Wilson was shot in the line of duty late last night. He is currently in stable condition and the perpetrator has been apprehended.

Authorities in Bastrop County are still looking for 33-year-old Michael Stark, who they say shot Deputy Sawyer Wilson three times overnight. Stark has been arrested by the Bastrop Co. Sheriff’s Office 25 times in the past. If you see him, do not approach him & call police.
