Firms That Paid For Clinton Speeches Have US Government Interests

WASHINGTON (AP) — It's not just Wall Street banks. Most companies and groups that paid Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to speak between 2013 and 2015 have lobbied federal agencies in recent years, and more than one-third are government contractors, an Associated Press review has found. Their interests are sprawling and would follow Clinton to the White House should she win election this fall.

Obituary: Pop Superstar Prince Dead At 57

UPDATED: 4:21 PM ET

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) — Prince, one of the most inventive and influential musicians of modern times with hits including "Little Red Corvette," ''Let's Go Crazy" and "When Doves Cry," was found dead at his home on Thursday in suburban Minneapolis. He was 57.

We're mainly a news and politics site. Celebrity deaths are sometimes mentioned but usually in passing. Prince's just announced death at age 57 is in a different category. It's reminiscent in some ways of the death of Michael Jackson in 2009, though because of the untimeliness of death, not the cause. (We don't know the cause of death.) INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A Facebook page belonging to the wife of an Indiana congressman touted the family's visit to the Ronald Reagan presidential library in Simi Valley, California, with photos showing the two children by the conservative icon's grave and the couple in front of a "humble" wooden table where Reagan signed a massive tax cut.
